Suzanne and Bob are one of those couples who have done everything together. After 30 years, they are more in love than ever. They have plans for the rest of their lives, long trips, classes they want to take. Then it happens, slowly at first. They laugh about it. After all, don`t we all go to the refrigerator, open the door, stare inside an forget what we`re looking for?It happens to everyone. But for Bob, it is the beginning of a long and slow journey into isolation. For Suzanne, it is a time of tremendous adjustment.

The film follows Suzanne's struggle to maintain her home, her family, her marriage, her husband and herself. In spite of all the medical and social obstacles, Suzanne prevails. Suzanne admirably and realistically illustrates how to live with a loved one who has Alzheimer's disease by learning about the disease and ensuring proper treatment. The film shows how a combination of extended family support, utilization of community services, participation in support groups activities, proper drug therapy and physician advice can make life with Alzheimer`s disease worth living. The objective is to educate people to seek help from a physician when the symptoms begin to appear, because help is available.
